the benefits of a pre-wedding shoot

Hello beautiful people! If you're wanting a bit more info on pre-wedding shoots, you've come to the right place.

Pre-wedding shoots have become increasingly popular in the UK over the years and honestly... I am so for it! 😍

It's a great chance for me to meet my lovely couples before their big day and it's a great chance for you to have a little practice prior to the wedding to feel more confident in front of the camera.

Story Telling:📖

Not all pre-wedding shoots have a story behind the choice of location but some of you lovely folk may opt to choose the location you got engaged, your venue or somewhere you often visit for walks and just love love love.

Having photo's at a location that means something to you both will mean your pre-wedding photos will always hold a special place in your heart even if they aren't your official "wedding" photos. It's also a great idea to bring along the little ones, props or your doggo to a shoot to get the most out of your session and have come cute family photos at the same time! So not only do you have practise prior to the wedding but you also have some killer shots to use as invites/save the dates or for your wedding website.

The benefit of choosing your wedding venue for your shoot is that you can feel the excitement of the fricking wedding day ahead! This also gives me the chance to scout out some perfect locations for photos on the big day and sense of familiarity to the venue if it's one I have yet to visit.

Practice For The Big Day:💒

Pre-wedding shoots can be seen as a practice run for posing in front of the camera before the couples big day. This experience can help alleviate any nerves, anxiety or discomfort, allowing the couple to feel more at ease when it comes time for the official wedding photos. During the pre-wedding shoots, couples have the opportunity to speak with their wedding photographer in person to communicate whether they have any personal preference into particular shots they wish to capture on the day or any questions that may arise on the day of the pre-wedding shoot.

Top Tip: Communication with your chosen wedding photographer is key! 🗝️

BENEFITS:

Candid Connection:

Pre-wedding shoots capture genuine moments of connection, laughter and love between the couple. The relaxed setting between the couple and the photographer allows for candid expressions of love, creating images that reflect the natural awe of the relationship. Photographers like myself encourage laughter within these shoots to capture candid moments, these truly make the most heart-warming expressionate photos to cherish 💕

Memorable Keepsakes: 🥰

When couples receive their photos, these images become cherished keepsakes. Couples often find joy in looking back at these images, reminiscing about the time on the pre-wedding shoot and often get excited with the lead up to the big day. Couples love to also show them off with friends, family & on social media to again express the love they have for one another. Plus I love to see couples show off their photos as it gives me as a wedding photographer a sense of appreciation that they love their photos as much as I do! 🙌
